Meet Daniel J. Cherney
Daniel Cherney is a seasoned lawyer with experience in corporate, commercial, and real estate law. He has advised clients across industries and deal sizes—from startups and private equity funds to international firms and family-owned businesses. His legal career includes roles at regional and national firms, where he led multi-million dollar transactions and provided strategic counsel on mergers, acquisitions, financing, business structuring and reorganizations, and governance.
Daniel holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business Law from the University of Toronto, a Juris Doctor (Honours) from Bond University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Dalhousie University. He was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2018 and has received multiple academic awards, including First-in-Class distinctions and Dean’s List honors.

Outside of law, Daniel is a sports enthusiast, avid traveler, and passionate reader of non-fiction literature.
